What Mahiki’s British GT partnership means for the Emira

Lotus named Mahiki Racing its British GT partner team for 2025 after the team’s first season in the championship. The useful thing about seeing an Emira in GT4 is that you can follow the same car through a stint and see how its driver deals with slower traffic, changing grip and the tyres going away.

Pick a corner where you can see both the braking point and the exit. Watch it for ten laps. Notice which drivers can hold a line when another class comes through, and which cars lose time getting back on the throttle. A results table can’t tell you which of those things cost a place.

The road-going Emira pictured here shares the silhouette. The GT4 is a competition car with a different job.
