The Turbo SE arrived in the revised Emira range in March 2025, with a claimed 0–62 mph time of four seconds. If you’re choosing between it and a manual V6, start the test somewhere less dramatic. Try easing out of a junction, holding a gear through a bend and picking up speed without a long run-up.
The turbo’s dual-clutch gearbox can make a short burst of acceleration feel effortless. The V6 manual gives you another decision to make, and for plenty of people that’s part of the point. Try both before deciding whether you’d rather have the faster change or make it yourself.
Check the tyres and the chassis option on the two cars you drive. Otherwise it’s easy to credit the engine for a difference you actually felt through the suspension.
