Jim Clark’s 1965 season gets an Emira tribute

Jim Clark won the Formula One world championship and the Indianapolis 500 in 1965. The races demanded very different things of him, which is why that season is worth remembering. Sixty years later Lotus put Clark’s name on a V6 Emira, with 60 cars announced for selected markets.

The racing green and yellow make the connection obvious. The better reason to spend time with the story is to look at what Clark had to do in two different cars, on different tracks and against different fields. It’s a useful antidote to reducing a driver’s career to one number.
