Used EV sales grew again. What should a Lotus buyer take from that?

Britain recorded 7.81 million used car transactions in 2025. About 275,000 were battery electric, up 45.7 per cent from the previous year. That tells you the market is becoming less unusual. It doesn’t tell you what an electric Lotus will be worth in another year.

Ask for the battery warranty terms on the actual car and get a dealer to explain what transfers. Find out whether it will charge where you live. If you rely on public charging, try a stop and check what you’d pay on your usual route. Factor that in before comparing it with petrol or with a different EV.

A national sales number makes good background. The warranty, the history and the charger you can actually use should have more say in what you buy.
