Hethel’s Performance Hub puts development work in the spotlight

Lotus announced a Performance Hub at Hethel in June 2026. What makes the site interesting is the chance to bring a car back from the track, change something and try it again. A repeatable run is a good way to find out whether a change helped, particularly when the difference is small.

A smooth lap won’t answer every question. A car also needs to behave well on a patched road and in the sort of town traffic that makes a nervous throttle tiring. The development job is to take what you learn in one place and make it work in the other.

The next thing to watch is what actually comes out of the hub: a project, an engineering result or a change that drivers can feel.
